Some projects from my portfolio:

I did some research into the GST rules and regulations and uncovered an opportunity to recover over a million dollars of GST. I prepared a business case and designed procedural and software changes to enable the business to recover the money from the Federal Government. The company did not have the software skills in-house, so I negotiated the costs of writing the software with outsourced technology suppliers. I managed the overall project to its completion.

Completed on time, on budget.

Result: All of the costs were recovered within a month and the project earned a total profit of $1 million.

A business needed to expand their office space to accomodate an additional thirty people. I obtained the financing and managed the $1.3 million office construction project. This four month project was complicated because the office had to continue to function and all of the employees had to remain on the premises.

Completed on time, on budget.

Result: Zero office downtime even though some workstations were moved three times.

I designed and implemented a $250,000 financial system (General Ledger, Payables, Receivables, Projects) for a multi-million dollar engineering company. The usual timeframe for this size of project is about nine to twelve months. It was done within three months of the starting date.

Result: The company saved over $300,000 a year compared with the earlier system.
